"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
- Ferris Bueller.
I crave the kind of night where we completely lose track of time.
A silk robe slipping off my shoulders, champagne bubbling between our fingers. And now we’re bantering about whether we’re actually going to make our dinner reservation.
My philosophy on life? I like long drives in fast cars.
Let’s go on a detour for that one bucket list item. The one neither of us can stop thinking about.
My head on your shoulder. Your hands in mine.
The winding road. The good life. The adventure we took, simply because why not?
I’m old-fashioned in all the right ways, a little adventurous in the others.
I’m Riley.
A Manhattan-based companion with a soft spot for old-school romance, good conversation, curious people, and seeing where an interesting idea leads.
I like funny people. I like passionate people. People with stories to tell. Please, teach me something obscure over lunch and happily let me return the favor.
Chemistry, in my experience, usually happens when we can relax and truly be ourselves.
Give me somewhere interesting to go, something wonderful to eat, and someone I genuinely like talking to and I’m pretty easy to please.
Bonus points if you make me laugh. Even more if you order dessert.
Who I am
Blue-green eyes, blonde hair, 5'6"- a little taller after dinner, thanks to my ongoing commitment to impractical shoes.
I run in Central Park. I'm terrible at golf. Excellent at blackjack.
I’m happiest when I’m learning, traveling, or listening to someone talk about the thing they know way too much about.
Led Zeppelin in the morning. Cat Stevens when the mood calls for it.
I collect coins, vintage champagne, hardcover books, and stories that get better every time you tell them.
My passport might be my favorite possession. 38 countries and nowhere close to done.
I’ve watched the sun rise from Mt. Fuji, wandered Italy with very little regard for the map, and learned that getting a little lost usually makes for the best story.
Still on my list: scuba diving in the Maldives, an Antarctic cruise, and learning to fly a helicopter for absolutely no practical reason whatsoever. It just looks fun!
Maybe you’ll join me for one of them?
Let’s make life feel cinematic again.
Maybe it starts with dirty martinis and a view of the skyline.
Maybe it’s a hidden restaurant, candlelight, and a tasting menu rated three stars by a tire company.
Maybe it’s a sunset and a suite downtown. Then, as the sun rises again, we can luxuriate over breakfast in bed.
Or, maybe we get on a plane and figure out the rest when we land.
I’m at my best when there’s time to flirt, wander, laugh, order another drink, and see where the evening takes us.
And the only thing better than a wonderful first date?
The fiftieth. When we already know exactly how much trouble we’re going to be.
