Gifts of Admiration

They’re never expected, but they’re always remembered. Thoughtfulness expressed through a gift is one of the quickest ways to my heart. I’m excited by objects with stories: pieces that carry history, beauty, and legacy, or that serve as a reminder of you long after our evening ends.

I’m sentimental by nature, and I sincerely treasure the gifts I receive from my patrons. A carefully chosen book, a piece of jewelry, or a donation to a favorite cultural institution is a great way to show me that you care.

Jewelry + Timepieces

I feel deeply sentimental about jewelry. It’s my way of carrying a token of you with me everywhere I go.

It also bears mentioning. There’s only one thing better than dressing up for you in an exquisite set of lace lingerie: dressing up in diamonds. And nothing else.

Numismatism

It’s the hobby of kings… and me! If you’re a numismatist like me, you know to skip the flowers and go straight for the proof coins.

I’m currently obsessed with:

  • Athenian Tetradrachm;

  • Uncirculated three-legged Buffalo nickel;

  • Wheat Pennies: 1955 Double Die Obverse, 1909-S VDB, 1943 Bronze Lincoln Cent.

If you get stumped somewhere between mintage and error coins, remember that you can never go wrong with gold bullion or pre-1964 silver dollars.

Rare Books

My favorite books to collect are first-editon American classics. think Hemingway, Steinbeck, and Faulkner.

I am in the midst of a serious Russian novelist phase: Doestoyevsky, Nabokov, and Tolstoy.

I also have a soft spot for the old books about the famous muses of history. Think Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Gentleman Prefer Blondes, and Baudelaire’s Fleur du Mal (Did you know he was inspired by a famous Parisian courtesan?).

Hermès

I can’t help but get this giddy, childlike joy whenever I see an orange box. An Hermès purse is more than a place to stash lip gloss. It’s a piece of art I’ll treasure forever, a meaningful symbol.

It’s easy to procure any random designer handbag, but these ones require some forethought and strategy: both some of the most attractive qualities I find in a man.

  • Birkin 30, Black, Togo;

  • Birkin 25, Bleu Lin, Epsom;

  • Kelly 25, Black, Epsom;

  • Kelly 28, Bordeaux, Crocodile.

Lingerie

I already own enough lingerie to be catalogued by the Dewey Decimal System. And yes, I actually have considered hiring a librarian!

Please use your best curatorial eye when shopping for lingerie. I gravitate towards Agent Provocateur, Bordelle, and bespoke creations from my favorite French boutique.

Dreaming of me as your muse and model? I’d be delighted to arrange a private shopping experience at Agent Provocateur. A treat for us both: inquire within.

Fine Art

Collecting art is my lifelong passion. Think of me kind of like if Isabella Stewart Gardner had a wardrobe full of stilettos. I’m currently interested in these eras and motifs:

  • Post-Impressionist and early Modernist Prints: Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Chagall, Matisse;

  • French and Dutch Impressionism;

  • Contemporary: Alex Katz, David Hockney, Damien Hirst, Keith Haring.

Win my heart forever:

  • John Singer Sargent;

  • Rembrandt;

  • Rothko.

Cultural Legacy

Beyond objects, I treasure experiences. I love to support the institutions that feed my creative soul. Contributions to memberships at local museums are a sweet way to support my education and my passion.

  • The Frick Young Members;

  • The Whitney Contemporaries;

  • The Apollo Circle at The Met;

  • MoMA Young Patrons;

  • Guggenheim Young Members.
